PG Nick Smith Jr
SG Bailey
SG Hunter
F JT Thor
C Mensah
Lost last 4 minutes to Miami 2-ways & g leaguers. Wanted to see other players, but all hurt.
Last group:
G NSJ & G Bailey talent there, need a lot seasoning Greensboro
Rarely Like to pin on one player. Hunter bad, really bad. Lost game because of him IMO, no more auditions for him.
C Mensah 2 years away from 2 years away, like JT 2 years ago.
Like Nnaji not even 2-way worthy yet. If not overseas stashable, guess sign to basic Swarm g league contract.
I am not in agreement with a solid front court. There isnāt one player on the roster (other than 2021 Miles) that you can pencil in for 20ppg and 7-10rpg.
That is why I keep saying this team is so far away from competing.
I donāt think Smith can play PG. You might as well let other guys bring it up like Miller or Hayward. Just go without. Play your best players, not rookies that arenāt ready.
Nick should learn the lesson Kemba took a few years to figure out. Always being the fastest guy on the court is great in pickup or less skilled level of ball. Going top speed at all times is too easy for NBA caliber players to defend.
He needs to learn the change of speed game, not always shooting right into perceived angles with speed, but rather manipulating them, testing them, creating them with hesitations and feints, to make a defender off balance rather than make it a foot race.
When he gets that, the light will come on and he could become a menace.
Also, Iām sure Frank gets the full preseason, but theres no guarantee he stays on the roster, right? Iām sure heās more the defensive, Dennis Smith type PG Mitch bought on wish.com, but Iād rather have Ish who will just distribute to open guys and hit the open shot.
Heroās a good young player, no doubt. At his best, heās practically a 20 point a night 50/40/90 player. That said, if weāre moving Terry, as well as taking back more money and more years, I want a better fit.
A player more in the mould of Lonzo. Good point of attack defender, good 3 point shooter, good PG ability, good size. I go on about Delon Wright, but he fits that mould too. Dejounte Murrayās another with a similar skillset. Thatās what I want between LaMelo & Miller. That type of player.
This is an observation I hadnāt thought of before and it really makes sense. He really could/should learn a lot from Kembaās game. I think Kemba had a little more control even early on than NSJ but he did take time to find his pace.
I hadnāt seen that Kemba is playing overseas but I wonder if heād consider getting into coaching?
