That trade scene in moneyball gets me everytime
I’m a Carolina fan. Big unc fan. I love manek. He has a quick release, good BBIQ, gritty, willing to mix it up.
He’s not an nba player. Defensively, he’s a turnstile out there. In the NBA, they’re going to run circles around him. Think of Adam Morrison. Manek will have a superb overseas career.
Edit: Manek’s absolute ceiling is Joe Ingles lite. I hope manek proves me wrong. Because he’s the kind of guy who is fueled by proving people wrong.
It’s so hard (and dangerous) to draw conclusions from summer league play. I’m super happy to see Kai jones snatch the ball down low and mash it. But he’s just not going to be able to do that in NBA play. G League and summer league where it’s more of a pick up game, sure. BUT it’s good to see that aggression, and I really hope that translates into the NBA with a different level of size, strength, and athleticism he’ll be going up against.
