Limited 15 games, limited but here goes some thoughts on our 2nd rounders.
Carey and Richards both had good performances. Not especially strong shot creators but showed some moves, good rim running and put backs, 3p% mixed but show catch and shoot capable. Not superior passers, but definitely aren’t all thumbs and turnovers. Rebound not spectacular but looks solid, defense not stood out greatly, but nothing really bad jumps out either.
Even though 10 years younger, better than Biz offensively…not that Biz offensive bar very high to clear anyhow. If can do just yeomans work defense & rebounding should be playing over Biz.
Biz #59/62 hollinger centers, offense bad as always -8 pts ortg/100, (107 on, 115 off), team efg% .522 on, .560 off…more turovers fewer assists
defense and rebound to make this up is down (112.8 on, 113.2 off), rebounding +.7 rebound%, +1.7 block%, +.2% steal
Worst on team on/off -7.7. Sucks all by itself. Richards +37.9, Carey +28.1 but this is in very very limited minutes. For instance McDaniels lead team and wanted to see more, given time, and now 2nd last. Bacon got some of that from me too.
I thrown numbers out and feel made a strong case, Biz nice guy and locker room presence, but bump out of rotation. But Unless come in superballing, going to come down to that unknowns intangible, that JB instinct and trust%, and Biz seems to have all that. Next year both on roster and in out big man rotation equation.
Grant Riller showing can get buckets efficently and some playmaking ability, but needs to put in the work. Nothing feel anything overall exciting about, can’t see on roster and but back as 2 way next year. But I expected as little of the Martin twins.
