The Epic 2023 Trade Deadline Thread

It was last Sunday before the Miami game. I got an email with a recap of some of the video they got. It might be on the Hornets site. If not DM me your email address and I’ll send it to you.

Realistically, Rozier is the only roster spot that will return a pick or hopefully multiples. He is super productive and in the right market, might even be an all-star. He is cost controlled for 3 years and can absolutely get you a win in the playoffs.

PJ to a lesser extent for a Tyrus Thomas like dumb move from someone.

Mason probably won’t get you a first nor oubre. If Hayward were healthy he could too. But then again if they wings pigs could probably fly.

Kyrie gonna kyrie

Kyrie to the Lakers for Westbrook and 3 1sts

Lakers are going to get Kyrie and we aren’t going to make any moves…. Was really hoping we might miraculously send TR or GH to LAL. Maybe now TR to Brooklyn?

I wish kyrie was the basketball player that got stuck in Russia…

noone read this in Mitch-voice and got a laugh but me?

Kyrie is going to end up on the Lakers and if they win, he won’t get a credit again. All credit will go to Lebron.

Phoenix would be a great fit for kyrie and trade partner for Brooklyn

Gross, please don’t do that Mitch. Cliff would play him 42 mpg.

He would and sit Melo

I think the good news about kyrie is that it is very likely to set off an arms race. This is very good news on the Rozier front. Maybe even the pj front too.

PJ is the exact type of player that a contender without a ton of money can acquire and throw away a first and a 2nd with the intent on using his bird rights to resign

You guys love to talk crap about Westbrook but after 20 games you couldn’t help but love him. If we can get off Terrys deal and get an unprotected 1st I am down.

We lose shooting but gain toughness, not sure how much it would even hurt us short-term which is all that matters

We don’t want to gain anything except losses

Absolutely perfection! We’re already gaining losses but could always increase loss production.

This right here

Kyrie to Dallas. Don’t like it for Dallas. It makes me feel the same way as I did about the Gobert-KAT fit, but different positions.

Dallas has recently been a sieve defensively, and adding Kyrie won’t help that. A Luka-Kyrie backcourt has to be one of the worst defensive pairing in the league, of course rivaling the LaMelo-Rozier pairing.

But for Dallas, Kyrie can make up for some of it with sheer scoring, which he will.

The redeeming factor for this pairing is that Kyrie (IMO), is the most talented and gifted offensive player in the league. He can score every way imaginable and doesn’t have to have the ball in his hand to do it (like harden or Westbrook).

On a human level, I really don’t care for kyrie Irving, but strictly on a basketball level, he IS the most gifted offensive talent in the league.

It’s also a half year trial. If it doesn’t go well, you reload in free agency

Yessir. They really only gave up two player to clear contracts and a 2027 1st and 2nd. It may have been two 2nds, but it’s basically nothing.

That’s jack shit in the grand scheme of things. And really tells how the league views Kyrie’s dumb ass.
