Yes, I’ll have some of that please.

too good for charlotte with that response?

to make it more fair
hayward + 1st (top 7 protected) for sabonis and lamb? if we think it is good, it is probably way to good.

Are they even shopping Sabonis?

They would definitely want the whole farm for Sabonis. They’d probably want Miles and I wouldn’t do that. Any deal for Sabonis would probably have to be lopsided in their favor.

Or they’d want to substitute Turner for Sabonis in your proposal.

Oubre + Plumlee + picks for Turner + filler i think works. I just dont think they will let go sabonis first over Turner.

I would do that if only because I think it would be addition by subtraction. I’m not that enamored by what either Kelly or Mason give us, the former particularly at the expense of McDaniels minutes.

I’m not the biggest Turner fan, but I’d do that PH. After watching both LA games we just need to be able to score more easily. We have to work so hard to get baskets. So much dribbling, so much one on one difficult shot making. Or 3s. Only to watch Zubacs or Hartenstein or Jordan or Howard bully ball us for easy dunks in the other end. We need that and Turner would give us some of that.

Couldn’t agree more. I think PJ/Richards would be more than enough of a backup to Turner if this happens.

No idea. I am operating on the premise of “is Charlotte even shopping Hayward”.

Just guessing but i think Drummond would be a good fit hear . His free through’s isn’t no worse than Plumlee He could kill the boards and protect the rim . If they go small we then have PJ for match ups I think a 2nd round pick Vern and another small contract could get it done. Problem is he can’t be traded to Dec 15th.

It’s a sad state of affairs when this is an accurate statement

But is it accurate? I think Drummond would constitute shopping in the “Everything’s a Dollar” bin. We need to get someone off the rack if not from behind the counter. The bargain bin has proven to not move us forward at the starting center position. And what’s worse is that we don’t get a tradeable asset from bargain buying.

If we’re truly a playoff or bust team, we need to bite the bullet on starting center.

oh i agree 100%. drummond is like buying one of those dvd’s in the walmart bin before a road trip with the kids. sure, its a $3 movie but it is generally a horrid 3rd rate animated movie that the kids won’t watch.

i wonder if new orleans could be talked into hayward for val framed deal. or even better obre + #1 for val.

They just extended Valanciunas though right?

correct. but they are 1-10 and that move was part of the “keep zion” plan. they are floundering. aside from zion, they have completely busted out of their draft picks. aside from ingram (and to a lesser extent graham) they have nothing going for themselves.

i am purely speculating but i am thinking they would at least be up for listening.

Fair. Thinking also they would rather keep their pick given that atrocious start. And yeah who knows. Maybe we can pull off a deal similar to Vucevic last year with pieces going out

Did somebody already floated Plums+PJ for Wood? This seems logical to me if we are really in a playoff or bust mode. Maybe add some 2nd rounders in there, or Plums+Bouknight

I hear and agree with all the concerns about Drummond, but I’m so tired of seeing us get obliterated on the boards that I’d be willing to entertain it.

But that’s definitely plan B or C. I would go all in to get Wood. I’ve wanted him for a while and would be willing to part with anyone not named Bridges or Ball to make that happen.

I wonder if Houston would bite if we agreed to absorb Gordon in exchange for Terry + Oubre + PJ + 1st?

Edit to say I’d much prefer your proposal PH but I think they’ll drive a harder bargain than that.

I don’t think we can absorb Gordon, especially if we are to extend Miles.Kinda makes me think that Terry extension seems bad in hindsight (again, still early).

Hopefully, they are starting to look around because things are getting ugly in our frontcourt. Our depth on the backcourt and wings are being negated.
