What are you watching 2020s?

Outer banks on Netflix. Good show for entertainment value. Sort of OC meets the Goonies.

And filmed 10 min from my house

fascinating story on the gamestop craziness

Really enjoyed Upload. Haven’t gotten to the others yet.

Resident Alien is bonkers

Currently watching browser screens for Nvidia GPU availability, AMD Ryzen availability, and Xbox Series X availability. I have never seen anything like this in my years. Quite amazing the dearth of high-mid-tier GPUs, CPUs and that which depends on them.

It’s incredible. Crazy demand for laptop and mobile device components at the moment.

Even the used GPU market was bananas back in the fall. Haven’t looked recently.

I haven’t been watching the laptop or mobile space but I believe you on that.

I have been trying to build a desktop for months. I have been trying to find any GPU that isn’t marked up 3 to 4x by resellers and it is literally impossible. I have never seen anything like this. I am starting to develop quite a cynical view of Nvidia. I get they aren’t the actual resellers but damn if they aren’t able to see this happening.

Invincible on Prime is pretty interesting. The voice talent is top notch. The nature of it seems to be a cross of Akira and The Boys.

Season 2 of The Chosen comes out tomorrow. Happy Easter everyone.

This Leah Remini Scientology series on Netflix is pretty interesting. Kind of slow, but lots of fascinating info.

I’m literally watching 2020 now I think. I’m on the season finale of S4 Strager Things.

I just finished Stranger Things last month. Awesome show. Season 3 was such a great season, I just enjoyed the writing, character arcs, nostalgia, comedy - a peak season for sure. Season 4 followed the same “formula” so I thought it was really good too. Can’t wait for the final season.

I know it seems kinda hokey, but Wednesday was a really good show too. With Tim Burton at the helm, it avoided having the cheesy feel of a CW series. But I thought the story telling was really well done, and had good character development.

On the sad side, I just started watching Breaking Bad. I know, I know… I always meant to watch, but a confluence of circumstances and situations came up to keep me from seeing it. Just started season 3, really enjoying the ride.

I planned on watching Stranger Things over Christmas and did not. I think I left it a couple of years ago several episodes into Season 2.

I did watch Wednesday. That was pretty entertaining even if it did seem like the cool kids’ version of Harry Potter.

Has anyone watched the Rise of Empires series? (Currently watching Ottaman: Mehmed vs Vlad) It’s pretty weird: part rated R movie with some occasional soft porn thrown in and part literal documentary, just thrown in there right between the drama sequences. I do feel like I’m learning, I guess?

I like how they do artfully fold in 70s and 80s tv and movie constructs so that it hits on multiple levels.

My family loved Stranger things and Wednesday. Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are two of my all time favorites. I’m just getting around to watching Longmire. I’m in the second season and really liking it. Down to the last episode of The Sandman. It’s pretty good too.

I watched Sandman a while back and really enjoyed it. I’d really like to see more of the DC/Vertigo magic universe come to life on screen. Love the world of random magic users just hanging around towns doing magic stuff.

Anyone else watching or watched “Dark” on Netflix? On S1:E6 currently and while it took a bit to get some understanding of it, not that I fully have one, it’s pretty strangely compelling (couldn’t find a more apt word than that).
