Interesting to contemplate how much Cody was possibly overvalued here for his innate value to a middling team. Not sure he ever got on track with Portland this year (at least from what I saw which was limited).
Interesting, would not want to see him go generally, but to MIA specifically, that would really be painful.

What about Robinson and Burks from the Knicks in a 3 way sending PJ to Dallas, Brunson to the Knicks and we get Burks and Robinson while only giving up PJ and Ish. Hayward is going to be out for awhile and Burks can play sg and sf and some backup pg duties.
Not sure what anyone sees in pj Washington this season. Would never re sign that guy.
It bears repeating…it’s not surprising but always shocking to see how incredibly incompetent the Sacramento kings are. Even more so than this franchise. At least we occasionally get something right. The kings are fucking worthless.

Holmes doesn’t make us much better… If we could get Simmons with a package around Rozier, Oubre, and PJ Washington and 3 1st Round Picks you do it!
Simmons, Bridges, Hayward, Melo would be a scary starting 5 with whoever we have at center
Can’t help it but I start to cringe every time I hear us going for Simmons.

Don’t believe Simmons is anything more than us doing our due diligence or a makeweight, see if we can pick up something cheap in a 3+ team trade.
Gotta be taking a long hard look at Holmes right about now I’d imagine…
Even though I believe Simmons can help the team, his salary is way too inflated and he is not worth the cost. No need to waste cap space on him.
On another note, I have never like Caleb Martin, but it seems that with his player development, he could be a good 1-1 trade to PJ. Of course, we would need a big man from somewhere as well.

Yeah I’ll believe it when I see it. Mitch seems so tight man. On one hand it’s great that he won’t be taken advantage of, but sometimes you just need to get it done somehow.
I’m expecting a Brad Wanamaker type of thing that got us so hyped last year. /s
I think people forget how good Ben Simmons is. He makes us a strong playoff team, at the very least.

100% agreed. I feel that Jalen and Bouk can easily make up for what we lose with Oubre with the addition of Holmes.
