2023 Free Agency and Off-Season Action

Damn I haven’t felt this kind of rejection since middle school.

But we don’t sign Miles. Consider me highly confused by our plan.

S&T F/C PJ, need send 2-3 frontcourt playersback
Trade for C Holmes
Resign F/C Powell
Draft C Lively, F Prosper

C McGee 2/12
PF/C Keller 3/33
PF/SF Bullock 1/10.5

One Dallas first not enough.

I remember when everyone was upset we didn’t sign Wood

I’m really surprised where this has gone. I thought it was a given that we were going to resign him. I’m just not sure what we are doing. We just going to get a player no one wants? We might as well just sign Kelly at this point.

Could a three team sign and trade be done for two restricted free agent?

Dallas: PJ
Charlotte: Grant Williams + a 2nd round pick
Boston: picks and players from Dallas

I was upset we didn’t sign Wood a few years back, but I thought I was firmly in the minority on that one. I actually wouldn’t hate the idea of Wood as a second unit scorer, but honestly, if we didn’t want to pay whatever PJ is asking, I’d have rather just signed Jalen, particularly given how cheap he was.

I suppose PJ wants out of Charlotte. I guess they didn’t figure that in.

Clear up for me, was under impression teams cannot swap S&T?

We did with Terry and Kemba

I believe you can, but there may be a rule about them having to be completed in separate but parallel transactions. Can’t seem to find the rule though.

Okay just let me know when you are ready to call this off season incompetent. Just let me know.

We are waiting for cheap scraps.

See Sideshow Mitch’s field of rakes

Grant Williams aint a cheap scrap imo, he’s a quality rotation player. Who was playing solid minutes for a contender

I was really talking about him… but If we are going to do something… we need to do. I’m just tired of waiting for us to do something, instead of waiting for the prices to drop. I get it, but it does cause us to miss out. Hopefully next off season, we’ll be more aggressive

The question is he being looked at as a rotation guy or a starter to replace PJ?

I do recall Mitch saying that the priority this off-season was not going to be on outside free agents, but re-signing our own free agents.

It’s just…Mitch…there’s a certain pace that you need to go in order to get deals done, make players happy, keep agents from holding grudges.

I was able to find leaked footage of Mitch meeting with free agents to sign.

I’m sure that has a lot to do with it. They want to make deals but Mitch is like… “just wait it out”.
