I read that , I hate what he is going through. To finaly get to the top level for a half season and the botton falls out. At least he got a decent contract befor it happen. I feel bad for the team too giving him a large contract and the bottom falls out for them . Us as hornet fans can relate.

So just tossing this out here. Worried about Cody Martin. Has anyone heard ANYTHING about his status? The whole thing sounds like bad news.

In terms of injuries, when an injury keeps a player out for wayyyy longer than anticipated, his return keeps getting postponed, ends up needing surgery, and there’s no news or timeline put out by the team…that’s a very bad sign.

I’ll say it, it seems like Cody Martin’s career is in jeopardy. If I’m reading the tea leaves correctly, this seems bad.

Granted, the hornets have always been pretty sparse and obfuscated with their updates, but at least they put out something. Nothing here. Probably a bad sign.

Do we all think the most likely members of next season’s 8-man rotation will be:

LaMelo, Terry, Miles, PJ, Williams, Scoot, Hayward & Richards?

I think this is what the front office wants to roll out next season. If it is, my guess is they’ll be targetting the 7th seed.

For clarity’s sake, this is about what we think the front office will do, not what we want them to do.

I would agree with the following additions:
Scoot or Miller with limited minutes, 12-18. A healthy Martin becomes a factor. Clifford seems stuck on Thor. A 10 man playoff rotation is probably to many, so this would probably be regular season. Unless Hayward gets moved at the deadline.

How the hornets handle the Bridges/PJ/Oubre trio will be really important. I’m going to die if the hornets actually give PJ 20 million dollars. And Miles and his contract is a huge mystery to me.

This would lead me to assume Oubre is gone, which is tough because he’s been vocal about wanting to stay in charlotte. With the health of Cody Martin being a question mark, letting Oubre walk makes me a little nervous. Cody Martin may never be himself again.

All that said, do you sign Oubre using the 12 million dollar MLE?

Oubre aside, I just don’t understand how you sign both Miles and PJ.

Let’s say that a team extends a big offer to PJ and we don’t want to match it. So for this rosterbation exercise, let’s say PJ is gone.

Also, if we’ve learned anything, it’s count on Hayward and Melo to miss games. This makes me nervous to let Oubre and DSJ walk.

I share your concern regarding the roster spots, which is why I think Hayward needs to be Chris Pauled.

Both Kelly and DSJ are more valuable to us going forward than Hayward will be.

Amen. That sounds great to me. I’d also like to pass on signing the biggest chickenshit, poor excuse of a man, mr. “I hit women in front of children” bridges.

And pass on PJ “The Magician” Washington. The magician? Yes, he has an amazing disappearing act-“now you see me, and now you don’t!”. Because he can be invisible for days and weeks at a time.

That’s it, I did it. I finally made a good nickname. I will now call PJ Washington, “The Magician”.

legal and personal issues aside, i just don’t think miles is worth $25 mil a year

pj certainly isn’t worth any more than 10-13mil for me. and even that makes me roll my eyes
