Not sure if you can trade injured players. I posted the other day that all the injuries might limit what the FO does/can do at the trade deadline. I certainly wouldn’t trade for an injured player like Grant.

This trade is nuts, to just trade a 25 year old Luka like that and not see if there are better offers.
That said, Anthony Davis is still a stud and I think he’ll be better away from Lebron. I still wouldn’t like it as a Mavs fan though.
They were 2 second round picks involved too. Surprised the Hornets didn’t get in on it.
I don’t like it either. How do the Lakers always seem to be relative. This sets them up for the next 10 years.
With AD injury history this could make that future 1st very interesting.
It looks like they only engaged the Lakers. I have to think they could have pulled a lot better if they’d entertained more offers.

Apparently he’s weighing in at 270lbs right now. That’s not who I would want to pay $350m either. In reality, this might be best for both teams as both guys are fragile in their own ways. Moving them means each respective team can be far less committed to them going forward.
The Mavs could position themselves to not have to lean on him so much during the regular season. Unless they are going to get rid of one of the other bigs.
So, if I’m hearing you guys correctly, the Mavs traded their superstar young player who had concerns about being healthy and living up to his potential and they may be better because of it?

Oh don’t get me wrong, I’d call everyone. I am not sure Fox would want to play here which is what I’d be after.
I am not convinced that anything other than a whole treasure trove of draft picks and starting over with Brandon Miller and Mark Williams is the only way I go.
I just think the leagues perception is that Charlotte is where you go if you want to die in terms of relevancy and marketing.
