What the fuck is going on with mark Williams? I feel like I want to make an entire dedicated thread entitled “what the fuck is happening with mark Williams?”
I’m so sick of this shit

He has been day to day for almost 12 months lol. At this point I am labeling him “season to season”
At this point I’m just hoping to get Richards back pretty soon to have one legitimate center. Williams returning will just be gravy, if/when that happens.
I know RIGHT! Like is he close to doing on court activities. Any info would be nice.
Is not like Rob is injury free.
What about vucevic?
What about Jonas valancunius ngl I don’t know if he is good anymore tho
Poeltl is averaging 11 rebounds so maybe him
i like Vucevic a lot, but he likely wouldn’t be cheap, and I don’t love the idea of giving up significant assets for a C if Mark will be back reasonably soon. Of course it doesn’t appear that the organization intends to give us any indication of when we can expect him back, but I’d like to know what we have in him before spending big to get another C.
I may catch some flack for this but what about Ayton? Seen this on B/R
1.Charlotte Hornets Receive:* C Deandre Ayton
2.Portland Trail Blazers Receive:* G/F Josh Green, PF Grant Williams, C Nick Richards, 2025 second-round pick (via Philadelphia 76ers)
The Hornets should still have playoff aspirations in a weak Eastern Conference, although injuries to the center position have held this team back thus far.
Both Mark Williams and Nick Richards have missed all or most of the 2024-25 season, forcing 39-year-old Taj Gibson into starting duties. The result has been an offense that’s ranked just 26th overall this season (108.0 rating) despite LaMelo Ball averaging nearly 30 points per game.
Ayton, 26, is a double-double machine who’s putting up 13.3 points and 10.5 rebounds in 29.3 minutes and has begun to shoot more threes (5-of-13, 38.5 percent in 11 games). He’s someone Ball can feed the ball to on the low block and is now a viable floor-spacing option now, too.
The Blazers selected Donovan Clingan to be their center of the future, so moving Ayton opens up the starting job for him now.
Green, Williams and Richards are all 26 or younger and would help add depth to a rebuilding Portland franchise. Picking up another 2025 draft selection assists the process as well.
I like Ayton okay as a player, but I want no part of his contract. He’s way overpaid for what he does. I feel like Mark is a younger, cheaper and potentially better version of Ayton.
I also wouldn’t mind andre Drummond
thats not worth it over the last two days Josh has scored 15+ points grant Williams doesn’t deserve to be on our roster but he is somehow a big part of it and I will not give up all of that for a slightly better Nick richards
I think Grant is underated for what he gives the team, he might not be a stats guy but he sets the culture and that can never be underated. It would be foolish to trade away Josh and Grant at this stage of our development Lee is trying to build a culture and a defensive philosophy and they are a part of that.
Grant is a keeper in multiple ways. Would be nice of he was a bit more deliberate offensively but he’s indeed a tone setter and locker room guy.
I wasn’t trying to insult grant I just was tryna say that green grant and Richard’s are not worth ayton
Worst coaching job I have seen in a LONNNNGGG time
Cliff would be proud. Borrego ecstatic
