2024-25 Hornets' Postseason Moves

This is soooooo very very true. Flagg is only a quarter of an inch taller than Ace but Ace is so dang skinny that I don’t know if he could play the 4. Cooper looks like a PF and so does his game but Ace looks like a SF when playing.

Anyway here are the numbers:

Cooper
Position: SF-PF
Height (without shoes): 6’7.75
Standing Reach: 8’10.50
Weight: 221.0 lbs
Wingspan: 7’0.00
Hand Length: 8.75″
Hand Width: 9.75″
Wingspan Differential: 4.25″

Ace
Position: SF-PF
Height (without shoes): 6’7.50
Standing Reach: 8’11.00
Weight: 202.8 lbs
Wingspan: 7’0.50
Hand Length: 8.5″
Hand Width: 9.0″
Wingspan Differential: 5.0

Maybe Ace will put on some weight and start to bang a little.

Bonus stats:
VJ
Position: PG-SG
Height (without shoes): 6’4.00
Standing Reach: 8’5.50
Weight: 193.2 lbs
Wingspan: 6’7.50
Hand Length: 8.5″
Hand Width: 9.5″
Wingspan Differential: 3.5

Tre
Position: PG-SG
Height (without shoes): 6’4.75
Standing Reach: 8’5.00
Weight: 190.4 lbs
Wingspan: 6’10.25
Hand Length: 8.5″
Hand Width: 8.0″
Wingspan Differential: 5.5

I guess I would be okay w either Ace or VJ.

I forgot to post my source:

Would you all entertain a Miles Bridges + Heat pick for Kuminga trade?

Mark Williams and Josh Green in a sign & trade for Kuminga

No. Kuminga is an empty stat type guy. He can score some points but doesn’t really add anything.

Yeah, 0 BBIQ guy, I wouldn’t want to have him. We need more IQ and maturity.

Didn’t we learn from the last “guy that cannot figure it out in GSW” with Kelly? If someone washes out there due to not being able to fit through their BBIQ filter, I don’t think we want them.

Cooper Flagg can technically still withdraw from the NBA draft, right? If he actually did that, it could be a sign that the Hornet curse is reversing…

Why would we do this?

Don’t feed the uconn trade troll

Why would THEY make this trade?

On to our league reputation.

Not trying to start something, I am just saying, Keep talking that isht and see what happens:

I’m tired of talking and thinking about being shafted again in draft lottery, we now should be thinking about improving the current roster whether that be through free agency or trades

I feel you, but when the front office says “they aren’t taking shortcuts” in the rebuild, that’s all we really have to discuss at the moment.

We’ve had debates for years on here about the best way to build something. I have always favored what Indiana does but our front office hasn’t shown that kind of ability ever.

Yeah, I’d rather focus on what we as the charlotte hornets can do. Things that are in our control. Like drafting well, no matter where the pick is, and player development. I don’t want to get lost on the sauce with the rigging conversation. We’ve got picks 3, 33, 34. Let’s figure it out

Got it. But I posted them to illustrate the general (and accepted) feeling that Carolina doesn’t deserve to have nice things (like Melo). I am sure that everyone is already very much aware of that sentiment.

But the other side is that we will have to overspend in the free agent market (just like Houston and Detroit) to get a couple of high impact vets in this season - hopefully. The question is, “Will HP go off/hit the ceiling if ownership over spends this summer.”

Yes. Yes we will.

I am talking over 20 million a year for the likes of:

D’Angelo Russell
Malcolm Brogdon
Duncan Robinson

I would love to have Duncan on our team. Malcolm has the maturity/leadership that we need. Both of those guys would be excellent backups. I am hoping for something creative like sign and trades for Miles and Nurkic. Plus getting rid of Miles would help rehabilitate our reputation and get him away from our young guys.

Neither scenario makes any sense. Spurs deal or LAC deal. I hope people realize this is just guys shooting the shit in the off-season.

The only realistic part is that I would not mind moving Melo if the offer is right. Which is won’t because he plays as often as Gordon Hayward. So I think we can safely shelf the possibility of trading Melo.

But it would be very hornets-esque to trade Melo and then he stops dealing with injuries on a new team lol
