When I saw that line about it being the Spectrum Center’s 20th anniversary…
I just…how? What is time? How can it have been 20 years already. Seems like they just put it up.
But it’ll be cool to see the arena all nice and shined up, and the opened up north and south side. Curious to see how the 1400 new lower bowl seats fit in.
My biggest concern would be the '25 pick. I would like to move it to '26, with something like top 3 protection. However, no way Milwaukee does that. They would probably want Miller in return.
Probably not. That’s really leveraging your future, and he’s a UFA after 27-28. If things don’t work out, we’d be in real bad shape. I’d rather build young pieces like Cleveland, Detroit, and OKC have.
Even though I am a meloFan, from a Hornets perspective, it makes sense to trade Melo and 2 1st for Giannis, but I doubt the Bucks would do it, given they are stuck (achilles) with Lillard.
Cooper is an interesting take, and I think Giannis, Melo, Miller would be immediate playoff contender, something new owners might want.
I have to admit, a trade like this is very tempting. Maybe not this exact version of it, but I could definitely get on board with the concept. I get the concern about mortgaging our future for a quick fix, but to me, this is precisely the reason you stockpile draft picks like we’ve been doing. When an MVP level talent like Giannis becomes available (assuming he does) that’s worth cashing in all the chips. A trio of Giannis, Lamelo and Brandon would make us a contender and that’s the goal. If it can happen sooner rather than later, that’s even better, because later is never promised.
I know we’d likely need to include Nurk’s salary to make the money work, but I’d even be willing to include Mark if that would allow us to preserve one of the 1sts because since Mark doesn’t space the floor the way Lopez can, I’m not sure how compatible he’d be with Giannis anyway. It’s definitely fun to dream about.
