I’m trying to stop using this phrase, but I can’t find a better or equal replacement. “Never go full (you know what)”. This team just does it. Help me find a better phrase, trying to phase that one out. But it just fits.
Gordon went 3-10 but a lot of those misses were in the 3rd when we needed him to step up. Disappointing. Plus Mitchell having his career night for them of course. But we are down 3 main rotation guys also, so let’s keep perspective. This will pay off later this season.
Oh no arguments here. I’m keeping perspective. But when you’re up 15 against the kings and Fox leaves due to injury, sabonis fouls out, and they’re playing Matthew dellavedova.
I’m sorry, but no excuses there. Gotta pull that one out. Cmon.
I’m not expecting this teams to beat the warriors every night. But James borrego and this team made excuses for years. I’m tired of excuses.
This is one they should’ve won. No more excuses. Cmon. No fox, sabonis fouls out, up 15 at halftime. Come on.
He seemed totally fine until he had that slip and he was favoring his left shoulder it seemed immediately after. Thereafter, I don’t know he was really close on any shot. My guess is he’s out next game.
Sabonis fouled out but it wasn’t till regulation game time was almost over.
With the key players we are missing I am sure the teams we beat so far this season are making similar excuses. I can see where the Warriors and Hawks fans could make the same arguments in regards to their teams losing to our team. With the injuries we are dealing with, Kings head coach Mike Brown still went deep into his rotation and it took contributions from most of those who played for the Kings in order for them to beat us!
I don’t think Clifford is making excuses. He takes responsibility and addresses that we should be better. This is the change I want to see, accountability and discipline. I don’t care if we only win 30 games, as long as we put in our best effort, play fun basketball, and keep it competitive.
Clifford can coach, that was never in doubt. He just really wore out the locker room last time and couldn’t get them to buy in on the court. I don’t know what causes that other than not seeing on-court results align with his out-of-game talk but I assume it can return without much notice.
It is standard across all sports with this type of coach. It runs into leadership qualities in general. Clifford excels at turning basketball players into professional basketball players. But at some point they want the leash loosened. At some point they get tired of the work dog mentality.
Concerning his last run, it wasn’t entirely his fault. Charlotte continually runs through a cycle of rebuilding but then locking into mediocre 6 through 8th seed teams. What Clifford needed, was a more talented bunch to loosen the rains on.
Not being able to through a in bound pass reminded of old cliff. Old Cliff had big time trubble with that.
Gordon misses short in the second half . Not much lift. He needs to have his playing time cut to about 26 mins or less per game .
Hornets fans from game to game:
Wins: Omgz I love this guy! I always knew he’d come around! This is the best team ever! They show so much fight!
Loses: Omgz these guys suck! How could we have drafted this guy! Trade him now! Trade the whole team for a bunch of 2nd round picks! Fire everyone and sell the team!
I said that about Hayward because I want him healthy all season. It has nothing to do with my view of him game to game. The other part of my statement was about Cliff and holds true for now on. His teams has all ways had trubble with the inbounds pass.
