As I understand, he was the top assistant at TN. TN has lost 3 assistants I think over the past few years to HC jobs. I think they have had reasonable success. Looks like Rick Barnes is better at picking assistants than he is at winning in NCAA tournament.

Yeah most TN fans, are saying he was the mastermind behind their defense which finished top 5 in the country which is exciting. He’s young and seems to have a lot of passion. ECU is probably one of the toughest jobs in the country so if he just takes us to an NIT he’ll be seen as a our Coach K.
