Draft Prospects 2021

Fair but I’ve would assume in this draft you can out play the field.

Of course - also rookies are so valuable because they are so cheap. If you take on a guy like Turner it immediately significantly cuts into your cap.

don’t see being as big eruptions, now if picks Kispert over Kumiga or Moody over Barnes…

Moody on mine, some planet and sites, but also not even lottery BPA, ESPN #16.
proposed 11-16&18 way back when cause this, i not have top 10 and one i like but top 10 and a few like. Hornets annual late lottery fun.

but even with couple big time wants and wtf…SGA and Cody Martin…gotta give Mitch props and less antsy over previous FO going in tonite

Haven’t been keeping up with it, so a couple questions:

1)Is Sengun the guy many were comparing to Jokic?

  1. is Keon Johnson still possible/likely at 11?
  1. That’s him, Turkish League MVP.
  2. Very likely to still be on the board if that’s what you mean?

Woah woj bomb that’s insane

I don’t think we add a big man via trade or draft tonight.

The quiet before the storm!

Sounds like we will be staying at 11.

It’ll come down to who’s there at 11. We’ve got to be happy to pass on who’s available and OKC or NY want a specific player. Neither will know until the 10th pick is in.

Things seem to be pointing to Kispert for me.

OKC clearly wants to move up, and they’d presumably rather get the 11 than the 13. So I’m assuming we’d have the chance to trade with them. If we did flip 11 for 16 & either 18 or 34, I honestly think we’d be able to get Kai Jones at 16.

Who in that 12-16 range is taking Jones? I mean Spurs maybe, but he doesn’t seem like a Spurs pick to me. Pacers wouldn’t, Warriors wouldn’t, Wizards wouldn’t. I mean I guess it’s not impossible he could be an OKC target in a move up. Either way, I think there’s a good chance Jones is there at 16. Provided we know this, it would be idiotic not to take that trade offer if it’s presented to us.

Meanwhile, Chad Ford says no way Kispert falls past 13 (Indiana). I wonder if we’ve settled on Kispert and we know we can’t move back and get him, which is why multiple insiders (Ford and Woo) are now saying we don’t plan to move back. This is all purely speculation on my part.

Don’t think I would be happy with Kispert at 11. 18, 19, or 21? Maybe still too high. I see him as a Joe Harris type ceiling. I would love a player like that on the Hornets, just not at 11.

Man if the Magic take Williams at 8 it is really going to help us.

To me Kispert is icing on the cake. We still need eggs and flour and sit this thing in the oven for a bit.

This. And someone taking Sengun. I’ve got my fingers crossed.

I want Sengun so I hope he is still on the board.

Interested in your thoughts re. Sengun if you like him for us.

To me, while I love his offensive game, I fear he’ll be a total liability on D. We like to switch on D and I doubt he can defend on the perimeter. I also question his ability to protect the rim. I want, no I need, my centre to be able to do both.

Do you think his offence compensates or do you disagree with my assessment of his D?

I agree with you on the defense, but his footwork is just so unbelievable for his age and he has excellent touch, intensity, and sneaky athleticism. I feel that the tools are there to be a competent defender. I can’t look it up right now, but he averaged like 1.5 blocks a game in 28 mins last year right? That is no slouch if I am remembering correctly.

I think his offensive impact level will more than make up for his current defensive liability.

I am always hesitant to grade 18 year olds on defense. His production in Turkey was astounding. If he were 7 feet he would be in the top 4 discussion in this draft
