I’m not gonna lie. Mitch has turned this thing around. I knew Melo was a superstar and who I wanted going into last draft, and thankfully, Mitch knew it too and it worked out that way… TBH, I didnt follow a lot of these guys or do a lot of DD on this draft class, but if I had to pick profiles of the kind of guys we needed to surround Melo and our young core with, Bouknight and Jones would’ve been about as on the money as I could’ve come up with. I’m ecstatic.

If things break the Hornets way development wise, then yes. It was an amazing night.
However the analytics models don’t really like any of the guys drafted. They project that Moody, Jalen Johnson, Butler draft would have been much better.
Time will tell.

Cooper and Reaves are the names I have in my head. Not jinxing anything, won’t be surprised with a draft and stash or just straight up selling the pick though
Have they liked the guys we’ve picked since Mitch has been running the front office? We were hunting analytic types specifically under Cho and that seemed to have too little analog consideration.

Richards is guaranteed for 21-22, non-guaranteed in 22-23 according to Spotrac.

I have always liked and appreciated his work and scouting… so, I really like that he likes what we’ve done. Very exciting times here.
Also, once he said that, I’d be lying if I didn’t think, "we should contact him and ask him what tf ESPN has against us and what we can do to avoid the commercial break being taken every single time we pick?"
