Miles Bridges Gets 3 years Probation

I understand the innocent until proven guilty approach. I really do.

But it’s really clear that he beat the hell out of her. I’ve moved on past the innocent until proven guilty/benefit of the doubt approach. We have photos, medical write up, and her child commenting on watching “daddy strangle mommy”.

What could possibly come out that would mitigate the situation? He beat the hell out of her and strangled her in front of their child. Fuck that.

I’ve moved on from “let’s see how this plays out” mindset. And I really hope you all do too. I don’t understand unless you think she’s lying. But I don’t want to make assumptions about what other people think.

What I’m NOT saying: I’m not saying “lock him up and throw away the key and no more NBA ever”. I’m not saying that the hornets should flat out cut him or something.

But, the hornets should withdraw their qualifying offer. They should make a public statement that is strong about domestic violence, that they take it very seriously, and the team has no room for DV on the team. The team should NOT directly talk about miles other than waiting for the legal process to make the appropriate move.

I feel that it is best to cut him not only from Hornets perspective, but also from Jordan Brand perspective. At the end of the day this should be a business decision.

I would not pull the qo til the team is sure what direction they taking. Personaly he sound’s guilty and if he is he sould be punished . 610 said yesterday attenpted murder charges might be filed after chocking her out.

Guilty/not guilty, I wouldn’t want to be associated with someone who has attempted murder charges pending. It is a billion dollar organization (Hornets+Jordan) so it would not be a good look.

Jesus story somehow gets worse

I get that there’s some chance this works out, but I think it’s best for the team to move on. We need Melo to mature and stay focused on basketball. Not to mention we need to find (or develop) new running mates that are hungry and focused. I think this a broken situation unfortunately.

Dav, I’d be cautious of trusting FNZ when they don’t cite sources. IMO they can be terribly irresponsible trying to get folks to stay through commercial.

Come to think of it, years ago we would have been better off keeping/drafting Shai. It’s hindsight but d@mn.

I’m excited to move on from miles and avoid giving him some huge contract I didn’t want the hornets to give him anyways.

Would rather see guys like Kai jones, jt Thor, and Bouknight get more time to see what we have. I’m excited for Kai and jt Thor in particular.

Do you think there is a future of Williams, Kai and Thor all starting together, with Lamelo. That’s a huge lineup.

In Bouknight I think all we have is a bust . I might have to eat those words . But i don’t think he is tough enough to make it in this league.

I feel like we haven’t seen enough of him to know. I did some some good play from him. He did some good things. I think he still has a shot. Way too early to give up on him.

Kupchak still thinks Bouk, Thor and Kai will start for us sooner than later

I’d tend the agree. At least the ingredients are there for bust. Jury is still out. Him missing summer league hurts.

Not to try get in his head as to what he means or thinks but he was saying for a year or two there that Monk was the most ?talented? player we had on the roster and in the end, we didn’t even tender him a QO. It might just be proactive trade marketing.

Count me in as someone who thinks it’s way too early to judge Bouk. There are a fair amount of both pros and cons to the guy, but ultimately, he still needs to develop to show us what he can do. That’s as much on him as it is on our staff.

It’s more on him than it is the staff. The staff can show you how to do it but in the end it falls on you. I think Bouknight thinks he’s entitled . And things will just be given to him. To me he act’s like he’ deserves playing time without the work. The exact opposite of how hard Kia trys

I would still say that Monk was the most talented guy on the roster, minus Lamelo.
