Post 2020-21, free agency outgoing and incoming

Would have liked to keep Monk at reasonable price. I knew 1rst round picks holds multiplied, not by that much. If we still keep offering and Monk will not sign our 7.3 qualifying offer, we move on and cut and remove 16 million hold.
Guess with those posted Mitch cap numbers given out, with Zeller & Bis clearing 45 million holds too, FO move on completely from Cho/Cliff era players.

They rejected PJ + Cody Zeller at the deadline would probably take PJ and a first.

If the Knicks are going after all these centers though I’d float them 11 for Robinson.

I think Mitchell Robinson could easily be a top 10 center in the league with the right coaching and development

Guy is small man

Also is a pussy

Yeah right

99% of this board was on Okongwu’s jock as well as the kid who plays for the Pistons… the French kid, forget his name, LOL

I like him for sure

Better than Noel

Not here presumably

would terry + PJ + 2021 draft + 2 unprotected #1’s be enough for dame?

Pretty sure you’re trading for Kemba his last year here but older by a year.

he is way more productive than kemba. he would age pretty well with lamelo. it is totally a two year gordon hayward window move. i am thinking of a double tiered lamelo plan here.

tier one during rookie deal: (example) dame + hayward + lamelo + possible mid tier center\pf

tier two on extension years: lower priced version of aging hayward or dame + fully matured miles bridges + traded for or free agent stars x and y

That would definitely not you’d probably need to do 4-5 first round + pick swaps offer for Dame

Imagine him playing off ball with Ball!

Geeeeesh

Really feels like it fits the outgoing description.

Id throw away most of our cap space for Damian lillard. Fuck it. It goes against everything I believe in about cap management, but who cares. Ball/Dame/Gordo is pretty aight.

Or McCollum? But that’s not really an upgrade from rozier IMO

Kemba and Boston want a separation. Hate to see it but it was inevitable. Is there any way in the world that we can get him back without really losing anything? Cap space absorption?

Obviously thats not necessarily an ideal use if our capspace, but Celtics should have to pay with draft pick(s) to move him.

I love Kemba too much to really talk intelligently from a GM perspective about that situation, but if there was a way to make it happen I would be all for it.

I have a feeling that the majority will feel differently, and that’s fine. The questions really are: what’s the deal with his knee, was his inefficiency due to lack of chemistry and fit or due to decline, would Boston pay us enough to take him?

Terry rozierfor kemba and 2 firsts ought to do it

I think if you are dealing for Kemba, you are getting a nice sidecar reward for taking on about $72m over two years (IIRC). As we are the sentimental stop, I don’t think we get the same reward payout that say an OKC or other parking lot can request.

I absolutely love the guy but I don’t like his price per value at this point. Anyone would love him at Terry money but that’s not his price. You can laugh at the notion but with Gordon taking up $30m and two years remaining of dead cap, one might think we preemptively took ourselves out of taking back Kemba until his contract comes to term by design. We’re a good spot for him on a 2-year retirement package in the 2023-24 season however and I am here for it.

Yeah of course we love Kemba but he is not the type of player we want on the team at that contract.

I would trade for Porzingus before Kemba

Amen young bro

No way Kemba is ever coming back here.

Give us the Uni and we win an East Ship!
